Abbotsleigh is an independent Pre Kindergarten to Year 12 Anglican day and boarding school for girls located in Wahroonga, on Sydney’s North Shore. Our sixth Headmistress Miss Betty Archdale said, ‘With education, women can do or be anything’ which is an ethos the School stands by.
Abbotsleigh empowers young women to embrace the world with confidence, competence and compassion. Each girl is encouraged to develop her potential in a caring Christian environment by fostering her pursuit of personal and academic excellence. The School provides a quality, well balanced education, underpinned by the Christian faith. Each girl is empowered to be a courageous, constructive and compassionate world citizen, who embraces diversity and has a will to serve others.
The Senior School is a middle-sized school with 150 students in each year group and 900 students. Abbotsleigh’s Junior School has another 450 students. Abbotsleigh is an all-rounder School with excellent academic rigour, ranking as the top NSW independent school in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 HSC ATAR results.
The school is within comfortable walking distance of Wahroonga train station.
