Embark on a journey of discovery where life can be...

...as challenging as it is comforting

...as energetic as it is reflective

...as rigorous as it is outright fun.

Welcome to Cannon Hill Anglican College, otherwise known as CHAC. We are a dynamic co-educational Christian learning community for Prep to Year 12.

We strive to offer a balanced and holistic educational environment, in order to develop the intellectual, social, physical, emotional, aesthetic and spiritual dimensions of each of our members.

Our Motto guides our practice:

With Courage and Compassion

Cannon Hill Anglican College is based on the principles and traditions of the Anglican Church and fosters among its students, staff and parents a lifestyle based on Christian values.

These principles are outlined in the Summary Ethos Statement for Anglican Schools in the Province of Queensland. As learning communities of excellence, Anglican Schools in the Diocese of Brisbane are called to share the mission of the church to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God through: Faith, Vocation and Service.
Cannon Hill Anglican College - Distinctively Innovative, Successful and Sustainable Anglican Co-Education.
Cannon Hill Anglican College is a dynamic Christian learning community which strives to offer a balanced and holistic educational environment, in order to develop the intellectual, social, physical, emotional, aesthetic and spiritual dimensions of each of its members.

Cannon Hill Anglican College is located on the corner of Junction and Krupp Roads, in the inner Eastern Brisbane suburb of Cannon Hill. Just 7km and 15 minutes from the CBD, the College is readily accessed via all modes of transport. It is within 10 minutes easy walking distance from Cannon Hill Railway Station, is conveniently located on major bus routes and is well served by key road networks. Our students come from all around Brisbane, including the Northern suburbs due to easy access to the College via Brisbane River ferries and CityCats (which link to local buses to the College), the Story Bridge or Gateway Bridge.

We are delighted to inform you that our CHAC Seniors of 2016 recorded outstanding OP results - comparable with our best ever results in 2015.

125 of the 132 in the cohort were OP eligible.

Thanks to their effort and determination, and the excellent teaching and dedication of our staff, over one quarter of the cohort achieved an OP between 1 and 3 (32 students - 8 OP 1, 14 OP2, 10 OP3). This is greater than twice the State distribution for OP 1-3.

CHAC OPs:
OP 1-5: 36% (45 students who will
receive the Principal's Honours Award in February)
OP 1-10: 73.6%
OP 1-15: 96%

These results were underpinned by excellent QCS results.

We joyfully congratulate our 2016 graduates on the way they embraced the breadth of opportunities at CHAC to become such fine young people and commend their families in guiding them toward such 'personal best' achievements across their educational experience.

We invite you to visit the Cannon Hill Anglican College website, which we trust will offer a glimpse of the unique learning environment that is so highly valued by our community.

Since the foundation of the College in 1989, we have regarded the well-being of the individual as vital to the health of the whole community. We believe that young people primarily need a sense of belonging, a sense of being cared for, respected and encouraged, and to know that there are clear moral and behavioural parameters, defined by Christian values, within which to live and learn in community. Our efforts are dedicated to nurturing such a climate.

Set in a beautiful natural environment, this is a friendly school, where teachers challenge, support and care for learners, and value their unique personalities and learning styles. The students' successes continue to be a source of great pride and satisfaction for our staff, thanks to a balanced and holistic educational environment, and a diverse, innovative and progressive curriculum.

We believe that our policy of contained student numbers contributes significantly towards building a culture of collaboration and connectedness. Through our parent surveys, our parents express strong support and loyalty and indicate that their expectations of the College are being strongly met. My staff and I value such feedback as an endorsement of our focus on producing the best possible educational environment.

At Cannon Hill Anglican College, our students have extensive opportunities to discover, develop and enrich their capacities, and to delight in their achievements. With Courage and Compassion, we look forward to welcoming you to CHAC.
