Band Program

The Holy Family Band Program is an extra-curricular activity run by the Holy Family Band Parent Committee in cooperation with the school. The aim of the program is to provide musical enrichment complementary to the educational framework of the school. The program seeks to emphasise four important elements for our children: commitment, dedication, musical achievement and fun.

Sport

Here at Holy Family, we are very lucky to have great opportunities to represent our school sport at Broken Bay Diocesen, Polding and State levels. Students can be selected from our School Sport Carnivals such as swimming, cross country and athletics.    There are also Broken Bay trials that run throughout the year for numerous sports including winter trials for AFL, league, netball, hockey, soccer, touch and rugby union, and summer trials for basketball, tennis, cricket and softball.

At Holy Family Catholic Primary School we have a special responsibility to look after the academic, social, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing of all in our care.

Pastoral Care is foundational to who we are, what we do and why we do it. Our policy is based upon shared Catholic values through which families and staff work together to provide a positive supportive environment characterised by trust, cooperation and respect. We build strong and positive relationships which typify our Holy Family community.

Holy Family is a community that provides a strong sense of wellbeing, belonging and security where students are given every opportunity to be affirmed with dignity and worth and assisted to grow to the fullness of their potential. We acknowledge the right for all members of our community to feel safe.

Holy Family Catholic Primary School was founded in the Brigidine tradition, and the values and charism that Saint Brigid promoted are embedded into our Mission and Vision Statements. Throughout the school, we have shared values which provide staff, parents and children with the language to discuss behaviour in a consistent way.

Our Brigidine values are reflected in our school rules: Respect, Responsibility and to Learn. Our commitment to these values and rules therefore means that at Holy Family every child has the right to be safe and to feel safe. In all that we do we aim to develop confidence and competence in our students and encourage a real connection to their school and their community. These strengths allow them to face life-long challenges in a positive and resilient manner.

Feature Story

Grandparents Day 2017

Grandparents Day was a privilege, opportunity and a joy.

Year 5 for organised a beautiful mass! Thank you to all the parents who provided morning tea and those who gave of their time to help with setting up, serving and cleaning up the hall.

We are always taken aback at the sincere quality of thankfulness and appreciation displayed by our grandparents (and acting granparents!), and the excitement of the children at seeing their special visitors.

Transport Options

Our school is ideally located for transport. There is a large carpark behind the school, we are within walking distance of Lindfield Train Station, and buses run from Killara, Gordon, Chatwood, and East Lindfield.
