Welcome to Calvary Christian College, a co-educational, independent, Christian College catering for children from the age of two years through to Year 12.

Calvary Christian College exists to graduate young people of integrity, compassion, confidence, and Christian Character.

Founded in 1978 with just three teachers and 52 students, Calvary Christian College is the product of a vision to see quality education accessible to the Townsville region.

Our College delivers a culture of support and connection.  Every Calvary team member is part of our Pastoral Care network.

We have a dedicated Pastoral Care team made up of Chaplains and a Student Welfare Officer.  The team oversees the range of support programs offered to students and works closely with the Principal and teaching staff to develop and maintain a positive and encouraging College environment.

Calvary Christian College has five key values which guide everything we do. We seek to inculcate these values in every student at the school.

The five key values come from Jesus’ commendation to the wise stewards in Matthew 25:21 – “Well Done Good Faithful Servant”

We encourage students to achieve higher levels by continually doing the very best they can with God’s help.
They said of Jesus: “He does all things well” (Mark 7:37)

We encourage students to develop the resilience and confidence to overcome challenges.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

We encourage students to respect and value others.
“Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.” (1 Peter 5:6)

4. WE VALUE FAITH (“Faithful”)

We encourage students to develop obedience to God’s Word and trust in His faithfulness.
“The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17)

We encourage students to see their gifts and talents as opportunities to glorify God as they serve others.
“A generous man devises generous things and by generosity he shall stand.” (Isaiah 32:8)
“Our vision is to graduate young people of strong Christian character who will become an influence for good in their world.”

Calvary Christian College is known for the high calibre of its graduates. It is our goal to equip and empower young people through faith in Christ to go on to make a positive contribution to the world in which they live.
“Our mission is to provide excellent opportunities for young people to develop Christian character and grow to their full potential intellectually, physically, spiritually and socially.”
Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men.

Calvary Christian College is continually expanding and launching new initiatives that provide an excellent environment in which young people can succeed by finding and pursuing God’s unique purpose for their life.

Calvary Christian College operates its own private bus service for use by students travelling to and from school and for other College related activities such as excursions.

A user-pay private College bus service is available to students living in the Northern Beach suburbs, Townsville City, Magnetic Island, Anandale/Douglas, Kirwan/Thuringowa and Upper Ross areas.

Visit www.calvary.qld.edu.au/bus for more information.

Principal's Image

Welcome to Calvary Christian College.

Our goal is the same as yours - to see your child become all they can be.

There are few endeavours more important to your child’s development and success than their education. It plays a significant role in shaping the person your child becomes, the character they carry, the success they see and the integrity they walk in.

Every school is about education, but parents who entrust their children to Calvary Christian College do so because they understand an educational system isn’t worth a great deal if it teaches young people how to make a living but doesn’t teach them how to make a life.

We want you to discover all that Calvary Christian College offers, so that you can make a well informed decision regarding the investment into your child’s future.

I look forward to welcoming you to Calvary Christian College.
