All Hallows’ School, founded in 1861, is the oldest secondary school in Queensland. This inner city sanctuary is situated on three hectares overlooking the Brisbane River. With its historic buildings and landscaped gardens, we offer a quality Catholic education, in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy.
All Hallows’ provides an enriching curriculum for young women based on the Mercy vision of compassion and justice for all. The School has a well-established tradition of teaching excellence and of providing young women with the skills, knowledge and values needed to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others.
Students from Years 5 to 12 have the opportunity to participate and excel in a diverse curricular and co-curricular program embracing academic, service, cultural and sporting opportunities. Girls entering the School at Year 5 experience a dynamic middle school environment with a challenging curriculum taught by both core and specialist teachers and utilising the extensive facilities available at the School. A seamless curriculum from Years 5 to Year 12 ensures a smooth transition across key junctures and a carefully planned and progressively demanding course of study across all year levels. We offer an inclusive and nurturing pastoral care system for girls from Years 5 to 12 with all students belonging to one of eight Houses.
All Hallows’ School seeks to promote the personal and spiritual development of an informed conscience and a commitment to work for social justice in the wider community.
