Flinders is a leading academic school on the Sunshine Coast. Our students thrive on the positive culture for learning and wellbeing that is celebrated here. In 2022 Flinders achieved an outstanding median ATAR of 92.45. There were 10 Flinders students who achieved an ATAR of 99 or above, and a further 11 who achieved an ATAR of 98 or above. While 38.3% of students achieved an ATAR greater than 95.
In three years, three Flinders students have achieved the highest ATAR score possible, of 99.95. In 2022, Flinders student Laura Webb placed in the top ranking, as one of only 33 Queensland students to do so.

ABOUT THE FLINDERS SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM
Matthew Flinders Anglican College is committed to providing a wide range of learning opportunities across all areas of the curriculum and to nurturing individual student’s talents and interests.
As part of this commitment, the College offers scholarships for students with special talents who, in turn, will make a significant contribution to the life of the College.
The scholarships, remitting up to 50% of tuition fees, are offered to students entering Years 7–12. The Principal’s Scholarship, offering full remission of tuition fees, is offered to outstanding students not currently enrolled at the College.
Students interested in the College's Music and Sports Scholarships will be able to apply for these opportunities later in the year.

Leading independent Prep-to-Year-12 school Matthew Flinders Anglican College on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland has been shortlisted for ‘Best Primary School of the Year (Non-Government)’ in the Australian Education Awards (AEA).
The shortlisted Excellence Awardees for the Australian Education Awards 2023 were announced on Monday, 15 May.
The Australian Education Awards, now in their sixth year, recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the country’s top performing schools, principals, department heads and teachers.
As an Excellence Awardee, Flinders will go on to be judged by an independent panel who will announce the final category winners at the AEA Gala Dinner on Friday, 11 August in Sydney.
Principal Stuart Meade said the College was thrilled to be a part of what are the leading independent awards in the K-12 education sector across Australia.
“Matthew Flinders Anglican College Primary School is honoured to be recognised as one of the most rigorous and robust schools in the nation,” Stuart said.
“The Australian Education Awards celebrate the most innovative schools and individuals making a profound difference to teaching and learning across the nation, so it’s wonderful to be in such outstanding company,” he said.
