A Kindergarten to Year 12 school located in the vibrant inner-city suburb of St Kilda, St Michael's has excelled at inclusive co-education for almost 50 years. Our unique, evidence-based academic and wellbeing programs empower students to cultivate a love of learning, extend their talents and interests, and build healthy relationships with self and others.

With highly creditialled teachers and state-of-the-art classrooms, Performing arts and Sport facilities, our students can pursue excellence across a range of domains within and beyond academia.

Our single-campus model and enrolment cap ensures that no student is left behind, with a seamless and individualised journey from Kindergarten through to VCE, enriched by our supportive staff and parent community.

You can easily travel to St Michael’s by our private bus service or by public transport

If you would like to catch a public train, tram or bus to St Michael’s, head to the PTV journey planner, type in your address and the School as your destination, and save a copy of your route journey for your next trip.

St Michael's Bus Service

St Michael’s operates six bus routes traveling from the North, East, South and West of Melbourne, to and from the School every day. The buses travel from Williamstown, Port Melbourne, Keilor East, Glen Iris/Caulfield, Cheltenham/Brighton and Yarraville.

Our buses are available to all St Michael’s students.

Ticket prices are $3.00 per child, one-way, for all routes.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students, the St Michael’s Bus Service has implemented new physical distancing measures and a rigorous cleaning process, so that our students can travel safely to School, avoiding public transport.

Please see below for some expectations for students who will be using the Bus Service.

  • Students are not to travel if they display any symptoms of being unwell.
  • Students are to physically distance themselves if possible. For example, if the bus is half full, there will be one child to a seat.
  • Students are required to carry hand sanitiser and sanitise their hands before boarding the bus.
  • Where possible, students will sit and travel in family or class groups.

For younger students who might be nervous about travelling on the bus for the first time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your classroom teacher and we will endeavour to find bus buddies for them.
