St Ursula's College, Yeppoon, is the only all Girls Catholic Boarding and Day Secondary College in Central Queensland. The College was founded in 1918 by the Presentation Sisters and, over the past century, generations of staff and students have maintained and nurtured our proud Presentation history. St Ursula’s is committed to preserving and continuing the Presentation charism and legacy of Nano Nagle - Foundress of the Presentation Order - through all educational opportunities offered by the College. In living out the College Motto, “Perfice Gressus Meos" (Perfect My Steps), we advocate six key values; Faith, Excellence, Respect, Simplicity, Compassion, and Hospitality. St Ursula's offers a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum, catering for diverse pathways and student interests. Programs at the College are designed to meet the needs of young women in the 21st century; our students are encouraged to be critical thinkers, creative and collaborative in learning, who are bold in seeking opportunities beyond the contemporary classroom. Students are provided with individual Laptops and a variety of resources to enliven their learning experiences.
Pedagogical practices and personal wellbeing programs reflect an understanding of the learning styles and developmental needs of girls. Each student is involved in Pastoral Care programs created on the principles of positive psychology and a growth mindset.
Boarding is an important dimension of College life and provides girls with attractive and comfortable living spaces; caring and capable staff assist with their learning and personal development needs. The seaside environment, community spirit evident in the Capricorn Coast area, and proximity of services in nearby Rockhampton enrich the living and learning opportunities of all our students.

St Ursula’s College, Yeppoon, was founded in 1918 by the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (PBVM) and is a Ministry of Mercy Partners. As an independent Catholic Day and Boarding Secondary College, St Ursula’s offers an education for young women of the future based on gospel values and Nano Nagle’s vision, with a particular commitment to:

Preparing students to participate fully and responsibly in society.

At St Ursula’s College, we offer girls in Years 7-12 a holistic, comprehensive, faith-filled Secondary education encompassing academic and vocational pathways to tertiary study and /or employment. Our Boarding House, Yumba-Gy-You, is located on campus, nestled in the foothills of the Yeppoon Central Business District, within walking distance to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Yeppoon has a population of 18,100 residents and is a safe and friendly close-knit community on the Capricorn Coast in tropical Queensland.
