Caroline Chisholm Catholic College is a co-educational secondary College in Melbourne’s inner west, dedicated to learning excellence in an engaged, faith-filled and supportive environment. The College supports students to be the best they are called to be, whether academically via science and mathematics programs, artistically with music and drama, hands-on trades or through our co-curriculum activities, such as sports, social justice, and other programs that make us special.

Our programs provide a strong foundation for future pathways which is reflected in our academic results; 95% of our Year 12 students have gone onto tertiary education, and in 2020, we maintained our median Study Score of 28. Our College Dux achieved a 98.7 ATAR and several students were successful in achieving scholarships to top tier universities.

Students have access to online platforms that enhance their learning, and through our networks, including University of Melbourne and Victoria University, students can gain insights into future studies and work opportunities. Although students achieve excellent academic success, the College believes education is more than just a score.

There are a number of extension programs, including international exchanges with schools in Japan and Italy; Aspire, our accelerated educational and enrichment program; Encore Music for students in Years 7 to 9; and a partnership with Australian Catholic University enabling Year 12 students to study tertiary subjects while at the College.

At Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, we recognise that educating for the future starts with putting the needs of our students front and centre, alongside our values of faith, acceptance, compassion and excellence.

Principal’s Message:

Welcome to Caroline Chisholm Catholic College.

With a personalised teaching approach, we encourage all students to be the best they are called to be and to strive for excellence in and outside of the classroom – providing a firm foundation for a successful adult life.

Each of our students is known, valued and offered a wide range of opportunities to suit their individual strengths and interests.

Our College is welcoming and diverse, with students from more than 80 nationalities, and a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

At Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, girls and boys study separately in their early adolescent years, before joining a co-educational program from Year 10.

Our students’ academic results in VCE are strong; almost 90 per cent of our Year 12 go on to tertiary education. We also offer senior students the option of the more hands-on vocational program Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), as well as Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects, in preparation for a career in trades, with many students successfully receiving apprenticeship positions each year.

I encourage you to visit our College in person to see our thriving learning community for yourself and learn why Caroline Chisholm Catholic College is a leader in learning excellence.
