Haileybury Rendall School is the newest addition to the Haileybury family. Haileybury was founded in 1892 and is one of the leading schools in Australia, with four campuses in Victoria and one in China.
Haileybury Rendall School is named after the founder of Haileybury, Charles Rendall. Having been educated at Haileybury England, Charles Rendall wanted to offer the same type of education in Melbourne. Haileybury officially opened its doors in Brighton, Melbourne on 10 February 1892.
Haileybury Rendall School will adapt the best of Haileybury’s academic, social justice and international programs to the education environment in the Northern Territory.
Haileybury Rendall School will incorporate Haileybury Kormilda Boarding for Aboriginal students.
Haileybury Kormilda Boarding currently accommodates 80 Aboriginal boarders from remote communities. Students come to Haileybury from Broome in Western Australia to Doomadgee in Queensland and from the Tiwi Islands in the Timor Sea to Yuendumu on the edge of the Tanami Desert.
