Six Iona values underpin an Iona education. Each year, a value is chosen as a focus. By the time students reach Year 12, they have lived through and practised each value to the best of their ability.

Heritage & Tradition: To celebrate our Presentation heritage as a foundation for embracing and building our future.

Excellence: To discover opportunities, set challenging goals, develop a strong work ethic and strive to do our best.

Community: To be a people of "welcoming heart" and kindness who create a sense of belonging where each member of our community is valued.

Social Justice & Compassion: To inspire all to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and, informed by the Catholic Social Teaching, to take action for those in need in our communities.

Courage & Integrity: To be true to ourselves, to be genuine to others, to live with honour and demonstrate personal conviction.

Love of Learning: To ignite a passion for lifelong learning that enables us to explore, reflect, create and achieve.
Inspired by the Gospel of Jesus and life of Venerable Nano Nagle, Iona Presentation College challenges and encourages students to become reflective, purposeful, and courageous young people who make a difference in the world.
To provide a nurturing, vibrant, holistic, and contemporary Catholic education in the Presentation Spirit, which guides individuals and enables them to develop their true potential.

Scholarships

Iona Presentation College is proud to offer Academic and Music scholarships. To benefit from one of these scholarships, students from Catholic, independent and government schools, whose values align with those of Iona, are invited to apply.  A willingness to fully participate in the life of the College is an essential prerequisite. Academic Scholarships offer either a 25% or 50% reduction in College tuition fees.

Junior School Scholarships

Year 4, 2024 General Excellence Scholarship applications to open mid 2023.

Senior School Scholarships

Scholarship applications for 2024 are now closed. Scholarship applications for 2025 will open in December, 2023.

General Information Regarding Scholarships

Scholarship examinations are held at the College in March each year, for entry the following year, and are facilitated by external examiners.

Any student entering Year 7 or Year 10 in the following year (including current students) is eligible to apply.

Girls who perform well in their testing will be invited to an interview in May, with our Principal to assist in the final selection.

Scholarships are awarded based on the interview and results of the Academic Assessment Services Examination. At the interview, the Principal will take into account the student's involvement in her own school and local community.

Candidates will be notified of the outcome in writing by early June.

For more information, please call College Registrar, Mrs Theresa Loughnan, on 9285 5298 or by email on  theresa.loughnan@iona.wa.edu.au.

Welcome to Iona Presentation College.

As Principal, I have the privilege of serving this exceptional community and building upon the foundations of our Presentation Sisters and all who have gone before. Story is important to me and for over 100 years the Presentation story and ethos has guided and shaped so many, inspiring a strong sense of service and justice for all. Aspiring for excellence, promoting learning, justice and compassion, acting with courage and integrity, and extending hospitality are at the very core of the Iona way.

As a Catholic school, we provide a Co-educational experience for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 and an all-girls environment for Year 7 to Year 12 students. It is our calling to prepare and equip our students with all the necessary tools to experience success in an ever-changing world. It is with this in mind that our students are afforded a holistic education using contemporary pedagogies, where dedicated staff, equipped with first class facilities, support student learning both during the school day and beyond. At Iona we recognise that learning never ends and thus seek to afford an extensive offering of Co-curricular activities and development opportunities to our students.

As Principal, I am acutely aware of the importance of connection with one's peers and community, and we are blessed to have many initiatives to ensure the inclusion of all. A strong sense of family permeates all we do, and a friendly and welcoming environment is what you will experience when visiting the Iona community. All are welcome and all Iona students, whether current or Past Pupils, will always be central to the story and ethos of Iona Presentation College.

In the spirit of Nano Nagle, who shone her lantern so brightly for others, it is my hope that her light shines through as you journey through our website. I encourage you to contact us should you require any further information about our rich and vibrant learning community.

Iona students make a difference, together.

God bless,

Ms Robyn Miller
