Masada College is a Jewish co-educational school, located in St Ives catering for students from Preschool to Year 12. Students from all backgrounds are welcomed to the College, which prides itself on inclusivity. The College develops independent thinkers, through Culture of Thinking pedagogy. Masada College has HSC results consistently in the top schools in NSW, ranking 39th in 2022.

The College’s educational mission is to raise responsible individual thinkers with a strong sense of social justice and confidence in their ability to determine their own future.

Masada College, founded in 1962, is a Jewish co-educational school from preschool to Year 12 on Sydney’s North Shore. Students from all backgrounds are welcomed to the College, which prides itself on inclusivity. Every Masada College student is valued and nurtured to reach their full potential.

Taking inspiration from the Project Zero research team at Harvard University, Masada College has adopted a Culture of Thinking pedagogy. Through our Culture of Thinking, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, improved decision making, and a curiosity and love of learning.

We are very proud of our HSC results, consistently placing in the top schools in NSW. However, we are most proud of those students who exceed their own expectations due to the individual attention they receive, our dedicated teachers, small class sizes, and the collaboration of teachers and parents.

We are committed to providing our students with a strong foundation of Jewish education and our students leave us with a strong understanding of and pride in their Jewish identity.

We provide students with a diverse range of co-curricular programs to extend student experiences and develop personal interests. In Senior School we also run co-curricular programs during school hours for Years 7 to 10 including dance, pilates, Chinese, debating, drama and mock trials.

Masada College students have a growth mindset, are compassionate and globally-minded.  Our Jewish values of kindness and respect are integrated into all aspects of school life, developing a positive mindset in each student.

As one of the very few private coeducational schools on Sydney’s North Shore we are very proud of what our College has to offer to our students and their families, with whom, as a community school, we work in very close partnership.

There is no better way to judge a school than to walk through its gates and gauge the attitude of the students and staff. At Masada College we regularly have visitors comment on the positive vibe they feel in walking into our playground and reception area. We hope to have the opportunity to take you for a tour soon and let you experience it for yourself.

Key entry points for Masada College are generally children aged two to five years (enrolled into Masada Cottage Early Learning Centre) as well as Kindergarten, Year 5 and Year 7. We also enrol students in all year groups at any time throughout the year, pending availability and interview.

To book a tour please contact Julia Suslik on enrolments@staff.masada.nsw.edu.au or 9449 3744.
