A few words from Mr Tony Coghlan

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Mazenod College.

Mazenod is a welcoming, inclusive, faith community that serves the needs of educating young men in the South Eastern Region of Melbourne. It is our hope that young men who come to Mazenod develop into fine citizens and good Catholic men who choose to live life to the fullest by embodying the college motto to
“Leave nothing Undared for the Kingdom of God.”

We are extremely proud of the 50 years of achievement and traditions established by the dedicated families and staff, in collaboration with the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Mazenod is committed to the pursuit of excellence in the intellectual, social, moral, spiritual and cultural development of each student according to his unique capacity. We offer a broad and rich curriculum to encourage young men, who learn differently, to make learning fun, inspiring, and engaging. Our staff specialise in boys’ education fostering a burning desire to achieve academic excellence and cultivate their abilities to the fullest as part of a lifelong process of learning.

The process of learning extends well beyond the extensive academic and sporting opportunities offered at Mazenod. A multitude of co-curricular activities available include an extensive Outdoor Education Program, Language Tours to Italy, China and Japan, Social Justice Programs, Mission Immersion Experiences, Instrumental Music Program, Drama and Musical Productions, Debating and Chess.

The network of former students – or Old Boys Community – is an important part of our community reminding us that this is not just a six-year journey but one which can be lifelong through various Associations and Sporting Clubs.

Finding the best environment for your son to grow in can be challenging. If the vision, mission, values, and faith of Mazenod are aligned with your families, we invite you to enter into a close working relationship with us in the formation of your son.

Kind regards,

Mr Tony Coghlan
College Principal
