Our Educational Philosophy
The Redlands Learning Platform is the School’s educational philosophy and teaching and learning framework that has been developed to enable our students to achieve academic excellence. The Redlands Learning Platform develops the skills, knowledge and capabilities of our students to flourish and prepares them for tertiary studies and to be active and responsible citizens in our global community. The platform is based on Harvard University research. By promoting skills of higher order thinking and problem-solving, it encourages students to apply knowledge and understanding to problems and situations not previously experienced.Â

Co-Curricular and Outdoor LearningÂ
Our academic program is complemented by a diverse and extensive range of cocurricular activities, which are designed to encourage students to explore their own talents, interests and passions.Â
There is a strong performing arts program with a wide range of musical ensembles, drama and musical theatre classes and performance opportunities, and an integrated ballet and dance academy. An extensive range of sporting options includes basketball, netball, hockey, football, AFL, rowing, snowsports, sailing, tennis and many more. Additional opportunities abound in debating, outdoor education and service.Â
Our Outdoor Education program provides an exciting and complementary learning experience to the traditional classroom environment. Curriculum camps involve students from Years 3 to 11 in residential-style experiences conducted in a sequential learning program in a wide range of environments throughout New South Wales.Â

2025 REDLANDS HSC AND IB RESULTS

We are delighted to share with you the outstanding results of the Class of 2025 in their Higher School Certificate and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme examinations, one of the best sets of academic results achieved in the past 20 years.
We are exceptionally proud of the fact that 52% of the Class of 2025 achieved an ATAR of 90 or more, with a current median ATAR of 90.6, pending IB re-marks. This is a true reflection of how this Year Group has worked collaboratively to ensure each student achieved their best result possible.
We sincerely congratulate all 75 HSC students and 83 IB students on their impressive achievements:
- 11 students achieved an ATAR of 99 and above
- 21 students achieved an ATAR of 98 and above
- 42 students achieved an ATAR of 95 and above
We especially congratulate the following students:
- 82 students achieved an ATAR of 90 and above
- 126 students achieved an ATAR of 80 and above
- 144 students achieved an ATAR of 70 or above
- Our 11 top performing students who achieved an ATAR of 99 and above: Robert Coleman, Filip-Maximiliam Feller, Jesse Forrest, Krishna Gupta, Rory McMillan, Remy Pascoe, Liam Petersen, Lucile Thompson, Georgina Williams, Emma Wong and Sophie Yu
- HSC student Robert Coleman, who was named on the HSC All-Rounders List, for achieving a Band 6 in at least 10 of his HSC units of study
- HSC students Grace Dawson-Damer, Charlie Stephens, Remy Pascoe and Amalie Winton, who achieved Band 6 in at least 8 of their HSC units of study.
The entire Class of 2025 has achieved significant academic growth and demonstrated an outstanding level of commitment and dedication which has been inspirational to our school community, while also making tremendous contributions across all areas of the School. They have truly fulfilled their motto of With Heart, leading the School with distinction, fostering an inclusive and supportive culture and encouraging students to live, learn, lead, play, perform and serve with heart.
With 181 Early Offers to Australian and international universities, their Redlands education has opened up a broad range of tertiary opportunities, and we are confident that they will truly let their light shine in their post school pathways.
The HSC/IB Results Summary provides a detailed picture of the achievements of the Class of 2025. While the individual achievements on the following pages are noteworthy, we also celebrate the academic success of students who achieved an HSC Band 5 or an IB Grade 6, and students whose academic growth saw them outperform their predicted results and achieve their own academic personal bests.
With so many students from the Class of 2025 gaining early entry into university and the ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) increasingly losing its importance for university offers, we are proud that a Redlands education ensures students are fulfilling our Vision of achieving life readiness and are best prepared for the world that awaits them. Our students are not defined by numbers such as an HSC or IB mark or 4 digit tertiary admission ranking.
We recognise the vital relationship between home and school and sincerely thank all teachers, parents and carers for their exceptional guidance and support of our students throughout their schooling.
We wish the Class of 2025 all the very best and know they are ready to flourish with heart in the world that awaits them. We look forward to welcoming them back to school in the future as our youngest Redlanders.

2027 Scholarships on Offer
Year 7 2027 Scholarships applications are now open!Â
Redlands Scholarships are awarded to students who are passionate about joining our learning community and will make a significant contribution to the life of the School.Â
The following Scholarships for 2027 will be offered:
Year 7: Academic, Merit, Music, Dance, Coralie Amos OAM Means-tested
Scholarship candidates in all categories must sit an examination to be considered for a scholarship. The examination is conducted as part of the Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP) administered by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER).
To apply for a Redlands Scholarship:
- Register for the ACER ExaminationÂ
- Complete the application form for the relevant scholarship.
In 2025, we will be offering the following Scholarships:
Academic Scholarships
These Scholarships:
- are offered as a result of the application submission, the ACER CSTP test and a successful interview with the Principal
- may be Full or Part Scholarships for school tuition fees
- do not cover textbooks, uniforms, excursions, technology fees or individual subject fees
To Apply:

- Complete the Academic Scholarship Form
Merit/All-Rounder Scholarships
Merit Scholarships are offered for entry to Year 7 students who have the ability to make a positive and significant contribution to the life of the School. We expect them to have an exemplary work ethic, strong academic potential and be willing to participate in cocurricular activities and be socially aware.
These Scholarships:
- are offered following the application submission, ACER testing and a successful interview
- may be Full or Part Scholarships for school tuition fees
- do not cover textbooks, uniforms, excursions, technology fees or individual subject fees
To Apply:
- Register for the ACER Examination
- Complete the Scholarship Form
Coralie Amos OAM (Means-tested) Scholarship
Applications for the second means-tested Coralie Amos OAM Scholarship from exceptional students who will be entering Year 7 2027 and are not currently enrolled at Redlands are now open.
Music Scholarships
Music Scholarships are offered for entry to Year 7. These scholarships:
- are offered following the application submission, ACER testing, a successful interview and by invitation of performance in one instrument of choice, along with results in examinations in music at an appropriate level of competence
- may be Full or Part Scholarships for school tuition fees.
- do not cover textbooks, uniforms, private tuition, excursions, technology fees or individual subject fees
As a general guideline, applicants should be at the equivalent of at least:
- AMEB Comprehensive Grade 8 standard or equivalent- Violin, Piano (Applicants on piano should also play a second orchestral instrument)
- AMEB Comprehensive Grade 6 standard or equivalent – Cello, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe, Bassoon.
- AMEB Comprehensive Grade 5 standard or equivalent – Viola, Double Bass, Orchestral Percussion, Tuba, Trumpet, French Horn, Low Brass (Trombone, Euphonium).
We do not accept vocal submissions as a primary instrument for scholarships. Voice as a secondary instrument may be taken into consideration.
Music auditions will be held on Tuesday 17 February 2026.

Dance Scholarships
Dance Scholarships to our Redlands Dance Academy are offered for entry to Year 7, these scholarships:
- are offered as a result of a successful audition, ACER testing and interview by invitation
- may be Full or Part Scholarships for school tuition fees
- do not cover textbooks, uniforms (school or dance), private lessons, excursions, technology fees or individual subject fees
As a general guideline, applicants should be working on or have achieved at least RAD Grade 4 equivalent.
Dance auditions will be held on Friday 13 February from 10.00am-12.00pm with a Ballet and Contemporary class. All applicants must take part in both the ballet and contemporary classes. No preparation is necessary, but applications must be in by midnight Sunday 8 February (prior to the audition). For those selected, Dance interviews will be held on Tuesday 17 February – TBC.
In addition, there is an optional Dance Masterclass on Sunday 1 February at the Redlands Dance Academy that Dance Scholarship applicants may wish to attend. It provides an opportunity to experience a class with our exceptional teachers and meet with Head of Academy, Ms Gilly Revie, prior to audition.Â

Year 7 2025 Scholarships will open in October 2023.
Redlands Scholarships are awarded to students who are passionate about joining our learning community and will make a significant contribution to the life of the School. Scholarships are in high demand at Redlands and we especially welcome applicants who choose us as their first preference when applying through ACER.
