Youth Ballet WA - Annual Ballet Auditions
Entry into Youth Ballet WA full-time and after-school programs for students aged 8–18 years is by audition and appointment only.
Our ballet auditions are designed to identify young dancers with the potential, discipline, and physical aptitude required for pre-professional ballet training in Perth, Western Australia.
Audition Requirements
• Applicants are required to participate in a classical ballet class appropriate to their age and level. Auditions may be arranged by appointment at any time throughout the year, subject to availability.
• Interstate and international applicants may complete an initial assessment via video submission and photographs, with successful candidates invited to audition in person where possible.
Youth Ballet WA holds annual auditions in September for entry into the following school year.

Additional Assessments
Applicants may be required to undergo an orthopaedic examination at their own cost. Details of the recommended physiotherapist can be obtained from the Youth Ballet WA administration office. Selection Criteria
Acceptance into Youth Ballet WA is based on:
• Natural physical facility • Coordination and musicality • Sense of rhythm •Demonstrated aptitude for vocational ballet training
