The Essington International School Darwin is a parent owned, non-denominational, co-educational school with a reputation for innovation and high quality learning outcomes at a national and international level. Our vision is to be identified as a world-class institution where parents, students, and teachers work closely together in partnership to give children a quality education where all potentialities are realised.
This year marks an exciting and significant 30-year milestone for our School. In 2019 we are celebrating the wonderful advantages that co-education offers boys and girls as they grow into young men and women.
The Essington International School Darwin currently offers high quality Child Care, Montessori Preschool, Early Childhood, Primary, and Middle School programs, and a unique Senior Secondary Program at our Senior College.
Essington’s main campus is situated in the picturesque Nightcliff and is divided into three precincts; Early Years, Junior School and Middle School, all with their own Head of School, providing more student leadership opportunities and age-specific academic and personal care for each of our students.
Our Senior College, The Essington International Senior College, Charles Darwin University, opened in January of 2011, and offers classes to Year 12. The Senior College campus is located at the home of the Northern Territory’s only University, Charles Darwin University, giving our students access to world class facilities and opportunities.

Our students take part in various activities between other schools in the Darwin community.
