Our vibrant School is seeking a qualified and dynamic Maintenance Team Officer to join our highly respected and hard-working Facilities and Maintenance team. Commencing as soon as possible, this is a full-time position ultimately responsible to the Principal, reporting directly through the Head of Facilities and Maintenance.

The Role

Our Maintenance Team Officers undertake a wide variety of general duties, including function set-up and supervised general repairs and maintenance. As key members of our Facilities Team, they play a vital and hands-on role in keeping the School running smoothly. From preparing learning spaces and supporting events, to assisting with maintenance tasks, Maintenance Team Officers are instrumental in ensuring our campuses in Glebe, Ultimo and Kangaroo Valley are safe, functional and ready for action each day. This team is the engine room of IGS – working behind the scenes to support the daily rhythm of School life and the needs of our vibrant learning community.

Essential Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • experience and/or training in general maintenance
  • basic skills in carpentry and joinery
  • an unrestricted C class driver's licence (essential)
  • confidence in using a laptop or digital device to receive, update and send job requests
  • hold a current NSW Working with Children Check.
