Founded in 1945, St Peters Lutheran College, Indooroopilly, has grown to become Brisbane’s premier Christian co-educational day and boarding school, renowned for its tradition of excellence and future-focussed approach to education. Guided by our motto, Plus Ultra (Ever Higher), St Peters provides an environment where students are encouraged to excel, both academically and personally.
At St Peters, our young people are inspired to lead lives of purpose and service. This vision is embedded in every aspect of College life, from our rigorous academic programs to our focus on character development, global citizenship, and servant leadership. Students are supported to discover their gifts and passions, and to use them for the benefit of others.
Established in 1945 with just 56 boarders, St Peters Lutheran College has grown to become the largest Lutheran school in Australia, now home to approximately 2,300 day and boarding students.
A co-educational day school from Prep to Year 12, with boarding from Years 6 to 12, St Peters is dedicated to providing a holistic education, nurturing the heart, mind, body, and spirit of every student. Academic excellence is supported by a clear focus on student learning, while global understanding is fostered through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years (PYP) and Diploma (DP) Programmes.
Students are encouraged to explore their passions across world-class music and performing arts programs, diverse AIC (boys) and QGSSSA (girls) sporting opportunities, including our renowned swimming program, and the College’s iconic outdoor education experience at Ironbark. A strong culture of service learning further inspires students to engage meaningfully with the world around them.
Guided by the College Motto, Plus Ultra (Ever Higher), St Peters sets high expectations and inspires every student to strive for their personal best in all they do.
At its heart, St Peters is a caring, connected community. Pastoral care is central to College life, with dedicated staff fostering relationships built on trust, encouragement, and respect. Here, every student is known, supported, and challenged to grow, so they may flourish both within and beyond the College gates.
