An Anglican School, Camberwell Girls Grammar was founded in 1920 in the hall of St Mark’s Church in Camberwell. This rich heritage and strong Christian foundation remains a cornerstone of our School today.
We are extremely proud of our diverse, multicultural and highly inclusive community. From Early Learning to Year 12 - everybody is welcome and everybody belongs.
An education at Camberwell Girls is holistic, highly personable and a truly world-class experience. Quality education for girls ensures that the world has diversity of thought, a perspective that values collaboration and the benefit of the talent, creativity and ideas of half of the world’s population.
We are constantly building new programs, experiences and opportunities both in and out of the classroom to ensure that our students are fully prepared for their futures.
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) in education is crucial. It allows our students to develop entrepreneurial skills and to create jobs that will grow the economy.
We don’t just want our students to use technology. We want them to be creators of it. Coding is taught at all year levels and we have robots as permanent members of our community.
As a Cisco Exemplar School, we have a full range of telepresence and collaboration technology, which is totally transforming the educational experience. Camberwell girls are participating in learning experiences like never before and are connecting and collaborating with different communities and experts worldwide.
At Camberwell Girls, we have a team of highly qualified and passionate educators. They set high expectations and inspire their students to embrace challenges and empower them to make a difference in the world.
Our curriculum is diverse and challenging and it plays a significant role in assisting our girls to identify their interests and strengths. We know first-hand the benefits of a balanced lifestyle and therefore opportunities to participate in activities outside the classroom are endless.
The Camberwell culture drives everybody to strive for excellence and as a community we wholeheartedly live the School’s values of integrity, commitment, respect, hope and courage.
Camberwell Girls Grammar School offers opportunities for every girl to create her tomorrow and our girls leave the School with global perspectives and a determination to pursue their dreams.
Each year CGGS offers Academic, Music/Academic, Means-Tested & Indigenous scholarships.
