An International Baccalaureate World School
Ivanhoe Grammar School is a coeducational Anglican School for students from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. As an open entry school, we offer students every opportunity to grow through a diverse and exciting range of opportunities.
With our focus on personal, spiritual and academic development, Ivanhoe Grammar School students are truly prepared for life beyond school with an awareness and sense of responsibility about their world.
Ivanhoe Grammar School has been educating young people since 1915, and while much has changed since our humble beginnings at St James' Church, Ivanhoe, the philosophy of our founding Headmaster, The Reverend Sydney Buckley, is still at the core of our practices. He believed that academic excellence and the development of individual character were paramount and encouraged a strong ethos of service to others.
International in outlook with a wide range of co-curricular choices, Ivanhoe encourages students to discover and develop their strengths, no matter where their interests lie. Vibrant programs in areas such as performing and visual arts, music, sport, adventure, cadets, local and international service and leadership help students to develop their unique range of talents and gain an awareness and a sense responsibility about their world.
Our focus on student wellbeing and a shared set of values means students feel safe, valued and well cared for throughout their school years and beyond, with the Old Ivanhoe Grammarians network providing a valuable link to their school peers even after they have left school.
We look forward to welcoming you to our School and sharing our plans for the future.
