Noosa Christian College, Cooroy is set on 11.7 hectares of beautiful rural campus in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. Offering a co-educational stream of classes from Kindergarten to Year 12, our College is known for its strong community and a secure, nuturing environment for students.

An Enriched Academic Program
Students at Noosa Christian College are given opportunities to develop a spirit of teamwork, to achieve personal goals, and to develop a strong, positive character. A broad range of experiences are provided to ensure that life at school is always full. Nuturing Spirit, Mind and Body
Recognising that education is more than just academics - Noosa Christian College engages learning through programs that build the Mind, Body and Heart of each individual. We incorporate our Christian ethos into our programs and encourage students to live by our College values of respect, responsibility effort, compassion, service and integrity. Our College also provides a range of stimulating outdoor activities to further develop the physical aspects of learning.

The College’s curriculum is based on the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority documents, incorporating the new Australian Curriculum developed by ACARA. A phased ‘roll out’ of the new Australian Curriculum began several years ago under the joint supervision of the QCAA and Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ). We are now currently working with all relevant Australian Curriculum syllabus.
Situated in the upper Sunshine Coast hinterland, Noosa Christian College provides a spacious and unique learning environment in a natural bushland setting. Shady trees, extensive lawns, shrubs and barn animals create an idyllic rural atmosphere and a calming environment conducive to learning.
The campus has modern, well-appointed classrooms, all with air conditioning, in both the Primary and Secondary Colleges.
The Early Learning Centre houses Kindergarten and Prep classes, each having their own playground area. The Kindy children and Preppies enjoy exciting activities and have access to a computers.
Primary classrooms are purpose-built with adjacent play areas and a large undercover space. The main double-storey Secondary Block with science laboratories, drama room, locker area and classroom is supported by a neat portable classroom complex and locker facilities. A new double storey Secondary building is currently being constructed and will house a commercial kitchen, servery and eating area, classrooms and other facilities. A Library Resource Centre including a computer lab and mobile interactive whiteboards. All classrooms have reverse-cycle air conditioning. There are multi-purpose tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court and large laser-leveled oval.
Inter-school Touch Football Teams in Primary and Secondary. Private music lessons in piano, voice, guitar and drums.
The annual Noosa Billy Cart Grand Prix and Fete is held around July/August each year with racing from Pre-Prep to Open.

The ethos of Noosa Christian College is to inspire and lead students into a relationship with God. We believe that each student is precious because they are God’s individual creation with a unique purpose for their lives. As such, our College is committed to providing a variety of opportunities and support structures that facilitate spiritual and emotional growth during the formative - and sometimes unsettled - teenage years. 

There are opportunities during both class time and across combined activities on campus for prayer, mentoring, demonstration of values and shared worship/praise. Year Co-ordinators for each class meet with their students at the beginning of each day for roll marking and a scripture/devotional time. Our College Chaplains are also a positive support to our Secondary students through additional services outside of class time. 

Pastor David Reilly and Mrs Catherine Campbell are our College Chaplains. They work in the Primary and Secondary areas with Teaching staff and are involved in organising and providing a range of services and activities including, Bible Studies, Counselling Support, Chapel Programs, Wow Week and our 'Buddy System'.

The values of respect, responsibility, effort, compassion, service and integrity underpin everything that we do and provide clear guidelines and expectations for how each person acts and interacts with each other.  

These values are reflected in Matthew 7:12, where it states, ‘so in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you’ and in Philippians 4:8, ‘whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things’.

Academic Scholarship

This scholarship is reward-based and offered to acknowledge academic achievers.  This will be awarded annually, on an end-of-year basis, to the top academic achiever (based on previous two reports).

This scholarship is announced at Awards Night and is payable as a 25% reduction on the following year’s tuition fees.

 

Sports Scholarship

Students with exceptional sporting talent are eligible to apply for the Sports Scholarship.  This scholarship is announced at Awards Night and is payable as a 25% reduction on the following year’s tuition fees.

 

The Arts Scholarship

Students with exceptional talent in music, art or drama are eligible for The Arts Scholarship.  This scholarship is announced at Awards Night and is payable as a 25% reduction on the following year’s tuition fees.

 

Service / Cultural Scholarship

Students with excellence in the College value of Service and/or cultural activities are eligible for the Service/Cultural Scholarship.  This scholarship is announced at Awards Night and is payable as a 50% reduction on the following year’s tuition fees.

 

The William & Hilde Chenhall Research Trust Scholarship

 Students with exceptional talent and interest in the Sciences are eligible for The William & Hilde Chenhall Research Trust Scholarship.   This scholarship is open to students entering Year 11 or Year 12.  This scholarship is announced at Awards Night and is payable as a 100% on the following year’s tuition fees, laptop levy and general levy.

We highly recommend the Primary School at Noosa Christian College as the level of education gained does not compare with other local schools from our various conversations with parents from the Cooroy/Noosa area. We were unsure how our child would cope with a smaller High School, but our concerns have been unfounded. The course material, homework, and extra-curricular sporting activities have provided a stimulus that you would find at any of the larger schools. We have not been disappointed and look forward to our child continuing her High School through Noosa Christian College.

We transferred our daughter from a State School during Term 1 of her Prep year and have been extremely pleased with our choice. She has had an incredible year with teaching staff that are warm and friendly and take the time to get to know each of their students and tailoring activities to ensure that they are getting the best out of the children. Learning is taken seriously whilst the strong values are evident in all facets of the school.
