St John the Apostle Catholic Primary School (St John’s) is located in the suburb of Narraweena, between Beacon Hill and Dee Why on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Our school motto, “Strength and Gentleness” is a wonderful legacy from the Brigidine Sisters who were appointed as the first teachers at our school when it began in 1962. St Francis de Sales is quoted as saying “There is nothing so strong as gentleness, and nothing so gentle as real strength”. These characteristics are evident in the life of Jesus and we strive to emulate them.
