Congratulations to the 2020 Year 12 students on their perseverance and hard work to achieve excellent results in their senior subjects, VET certificates, ATAR outcomes and QCE achievements. The outstanding results affirm the College’s mission to provide excellence in education and reflects our high-quality approach to teaching.

- 5% of the Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5% of the state (the equivalent of an OP 1-3)

- 17% of the Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, placing them in the top 10% of the state (the equivalent of an OP 1-5)

- 43% of the Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 75 or above, placing them in the top 25% of the state (the equivalent of an OP 1-10)

The students receiving our highest results (90+) studied a diverse range of subjects including, Mathematical Methods, Legal Studies, Ancient History, Physics, Chinese, Chemistry and Art. A powerful reminder that passion and enthusiasm for a subject lie at the heart of excellent outcomes.

Every student graduates TLC with a qualification. 98% secured a QCE, 64% completed a Certificate III course, 4% completed a Certificate IV course, and 14% graduated with more than one VET qualification.

The Lakes College would also like to acknowledge the 15 students from our Year 12 cohort who secured early entry to a university course of their choice for 2021, highlighting the wide range of pathways available to students at our College.

The College is proud of the diverse range of opportunities that is offered to ensure that every student pathway is valued and supported. We do not doubt that the Year 12 cohort will lead lives of character and fulfilment, and we look forward to celebrating their successes – not just this year, but for many years to come.
