Why choose Trinity?

We believe in the immense innate potential of EVERY Trinity student and we focus on realising the potential of EVERY student no matter where their passions and areas of excellence lie. Whilst we strive for excellence, we know that excellence looks different for everyone. We develop a growth mindset in our students, supporting them holistically and helping them to achieve their own ‘personal best’ with results that reflect their own unique talents and abilities.

We’re an inclusive school, intentionally embracing girls and boys from a wide and interesting range of cultures, backgrounds, abilities, strengths and aspirations. Drawing strength and direction from nearly half a century of inspired learning, we develop young men and women of good character and integrity, who value courage, respect, humility and compassion, are in step with a fast moving world and aware of their responsibilities to their fellow citizens.

Our approach

At Trinity, students and teachers work together in a purpose-built environment conducive to active teaching and learning, and students are educated holistically to become discerning, compassionate, creative, balanced and resilient citizens, well prepared for the demands of adulthood in the 21st century. This vision, and focus on individual learning, is under-pinned by the college’s core Christian values which guide teaching and learning, relationships, and all that we strive for in the college.

Early Learning

Located at our Cotlew Street campus, our early learning education program ‘Little Stars’ is a safe and supportive environment that caters to toddlers and young children from two years of age. The caring family atmosphere we create in our early learning centre follows Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines as well as the Early Years Learning Framework.

Junior Years

Prep to Year 5 students are also located at our Cotlew Street campus. We create an intimate learning environment at junior school where the focus is on building a strong foundation and equipping children with all the skills they need for senior school. Learning takes place at a steady and manageable pace, within innovative flexible classrooms, and is focused on laying the foundation for a bright future, and allowing for a gentle transition into middle and senior school.

Middle Years

Year 6 to 9 Middle Years students on our Ashmore Road campus are offered a supportive link between primary and senior education. Within innovative flexible classrooms, Middle Years students are immersed in a purpose-built learning community to enhance their academic, social, physical and emotional growth at a time when they need it most.

Senior Years

Years 10 to 12 are challenging for any student and we strive to make the learning experience as smooth as possible. At Trinity, we nurture personal excellence and encourage our students to make the most of the resources and facilities available to them.

As our students enter the last phase of their education, you can trust that Trinity will provide the solid foundation they need to tackle life’s challenges with confidence upon graduation.

Our Cotlew Street campus is home to our Early Learning Centre, Little Stars, and our Junior Years.

Little Stars caters for boys and girls from two years of age with comprehensive full and part-time programs taught in our purpose-built centre.

Our Junior Years is a stand-alone P-5 primary school but we have the resources many P-12 schools would envy: our own college hall, art room, music room, heated swimming pool, library, modern air-conditioned classrooms, sports grounds, canteen, learning support centre and more. The Junior Years is also a more intimate environment where our teachers know almost every student by name. It is an environment that allows children to develop at a slower pace, in keeping with their chronological age, outside the influence of older teenagers. Parents at our Junior Years stay more connected to their children’s school experiences, particularly beyond the Junior Years. This involvement is strongly linked to enhanced student success. Students in our Junior Years also take on leadership roles at an earlier age. Our Prep to Year 5 Buddy Program fosters important connections, increased confidence, and greater self-control for both the younger and the older children in our school. Our Junior Years is a safe haven for childhood offering a gentle passage into the more complicated Middle and Senior Years at our Ashmore Road campus.

Our Ashmore Road campus is home to our Middle and Senior Years. Trinity offers private bus services to its families, including a bus service that runs between the Cotlew and Ashmore campuses both mornings and afternoons to facilitate a one-stop drop off and pick up for families with children at both campuses. This unique service also develops independence and a sense of responsibility in our students, essential skills for life.

Our dedicated Middle Years provides a supportive bridge between the Junior and Senior Years. This purpose-built learning community for students in Years 6 to 9 offers curricular programs specifically designed for students who are dealing with a time of particular physical, social and emotional growth. The Middle Year’s core curriculum is supplemented by first-rate educational facilities, co-curricular programs and annual camps, ensuring a well-rounded education for every student.

Our Senior Years caters for Years 10 to 12, offering a challenging educational program of curriculum and co-curricular activities. Personal excellence is one of our key values and our teachers encourage our students to work towards achieving their individual potential in their academic, sporting and artistic pursuits, making the most of Trinity’s first-class grounds and facilities. Life in the Senior Years aims to equip students to become independent, capable young adults able to tackle the challenges of life beyond school and become valued members of a global community.

A wonderful school and really supportive and offer a healthy approach to both sports and academic success! I love this school and so does my son!

Trinity is a very good school. Nice teachers, friendly staffs, convenient facilities, beautiful campus and lawn, good position in the Central area of Gold Coast.
Parents Portal-easy to use, easy to know your children's timetable and daily activities in the school.
APS-lots of Trinity PE Teachers/staffs joined in, the children were brought to many other schools to have matches, and they like it.
Uniform-Nice and neat.
Library-good, many books and resources in there.
P&F-Awesome, look after every family, even every new mum or Dad comes to the school. The most important thing is that P&F often help the school organize some interesting activities for the students, such as: Concerts/Festival stalls/sausage sizzles/FETE etc. They have brought many valuable things to the school as well.
Trinity,good school.

We searched for a school that would encourage our child's love of performing arts whilst also providing a challenging academic environment. We found it! Trinity embraces each individual student in a warm and nurturing setting. Our daughter is thriving in all areas of school life and we couldn't be happier. Staff are positive and dedicated, parents are welcoming and most importantly, students are happy and encouraged. Best move we ever made.

Both my children started at Trinity in Kindergarten, and are now in Prep and Grade 2. We looked at a number of schools, and were immediately impressed with the warm welcome we received. Nearly four years later we are still delighted with our school. We have been impressed by each teacher we have had -- they get to know each child personally and help them to achieve their best. I have no hesitation in recommending Trinity to other parents. In fact I often do

My children have thrived since joining Trinity. We moved from Chicago and Trinity ensured that the transition was seamless and my children were made to feel welcome. The school is a truly nurturing community where each child is personally known and cared for. The holistic approach at Trinity ensures all children's needs are met and individual interests and strengths are developed. My children enjoy the variety of extra curricular activities on offer and we love that they are able to showcase their talents in the many performance opportunities.

We are thrilled with our decision to send our children to Trinity. Our eldest is currently in prep and is thriving with a wonderful, encouraging teacher who genuinely cares for our entire family. The school has a superb feeling of community and our son is already forming lifelong friendships. We are looking forward to all 4 of our children attending TLC together and would not hesitate in recommending the college to anyone and everyone!

Our three children are very happy at Trinity Lutheran College. After being in international schools we had high expectations when we moved home and Trinity had met every one. Their academic programs are innovative and student centred, they offer a fantastic range of extra-curricular activities for all ages including sport and The Arts, and maintain a beautiful environment. The atmosphere of the school is friendly, warm and welcoming - they really do "nuture every learner". We are so pleased we chose TLC for our children's learning journey.

We came to Trinity after having some very debilitating friendship issues at my daughters previous school. Trinity welcomed us into the Primary School with open arms and went over and above to ensure my daughter was taken care of, right from day one. I could not be more appreciative for what they had done for my daughter and myself in that difficult time. 18 months on and now in the Middle Years Program, my daughter is absolutely thriving in all areas; friendships, wellbeing and her marks have shot through the roof. I cannot speak highly enough of this great and caring school and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an all round great school to send their child to.

Very supportive and encouraging Teachers.
Acknowledges your children's talents.
Supports their weaknesses.
Allows for individuality of the child.
Very welcoming school body giving parents an assurance of comfort.

A warm & nurturing environment, very welcoming and hard working P&F, a fabulous Performing Arts Programme. Ours kids could not be happier!
